A pretend Mac desktop. Show hints puts a short label on everything you can click. Type a label, or press its button, to click that item.
Press ⇧⌘Space or Tap ., then tap a label.
How it works
Press the shortcut.
⇧⌘Space works from any app. You can pick a different one in Settings.
Find the label.
Everything you can click gets one or two letters, starting with the menu bar.
Type it.
The moment you finish a label, that item is clicked. Backspace fixes a typo and Escape closes the labels.
Labels everywhere you look
Labels cover every app on screen, including the windows behind the one you're using.

Your shortcut, your letters
Labels in about a quarter of a second
On the developer's Mac, a full scan found 72 to 91 clickable items in 230 to 250 milliseconds.
Safe to leave running
Easy to cancel
Escape, the shortcut again, or any mouse click closes the labels. Your click still lands where you clicked.
Quiet around passwords
Labels won't open while a password field is active, so letters meant for a label can't end up in it.
Stays on your Mac
The app has no network code. It reads the screen through macOS Accessibility, on your Mac.
